Nicolo Milioto, known as ‘Mr. Sidewalk, considered by Quebec’s corruption inquiry the mafia’s middleman between politicians and the construction industry says he’s never heard of the Cosa Nostra or the mob or even pizzo, a Mafia extortion tax.
Sitting on the stand for a second day today at the inquiry, Milioto admitted he did know what omerta was — the code of silence and rule not to speak to authorities.
